Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African American Memories include places where the African American story unfolds. Sites of memories include ports where the slave ship disembarked, battle fields where African descendants shed their blood in the struggle for freedom, Historically Black Colleges and Universities where education was pursued and communities created over centuries of African socio economic labor.
